Objective:
As a Data Analyst intern, you will be using analytic tools to identify, design, recommend, and execute solutions to deliver actionable information to clients. You will work with the team to provide follow-up consultation on solutions as needed, support and contribute to client and business analytics projects by supporting consulting teams and develop strategies. You may use modeling, analytical methodologies, and data analysis to develop and deploy tools, including dashboards, infographics, reports, and models, to inform and support decision-making.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in development of client deliverables including written documents.
- Execute timelines including completion of client deliverables (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, etc.).
- Ensure all work products are technically peer reviewed and submitted for consulting review.
- Actively communicates project status updates with internal team (junior and senior members).
- Help support client teams with a combination of raw data analysis and aggregation to support external reporting.
- Display initiative in research beyond the specific assignment.
Load, process, and analyze health care enrollment and claims / encounter data to support a variety of health care consulting projects.
Requirements:
- BA/BS students pursuing a degree in economics, finance, actuarial science, mathematics, statistics or similar course of study; with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 preferred.
- Interest in healthcare finance and policy.
- Ability to fit in and work with a driven, dedicated team.
- Broad analytical knowledge necessary to generate analytic solutions.
- Ability to to build and maintain productive working relationships with others.
- Exposure to data analytical tools (Excel, Tableau, SAS, SQL, WPS, Python) is beneficial, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
