Your Key Responsibilities
- Work in line with the Line Optimiser to co-ordinate the day to day running of the line, ensure consistent performance of everyone to the highest level ensuring optimal run speeds and product quality are achieved.
- Responsible for the capability of the team, including signing onto, and delivering training and support to new starters and operatives moving tasks. Create a multi-skilled team for the line.
- Liaise with the Line Optimiser to select and monitor operatives to a standard of excellence ensuring every team member has a strong training plan.
- Ensure all operatives understand and adhere to role requirements, Technical and Health & Safety aspects of the role.
- Identify areas impacting production, offering and seeking corrective actions and resolutions.
- Liaise and update the Supervisor on any issues relating to people performance.
- Continuously look for opportunities to increase and maintain performance through the team.
- Ensure all team members work in a safe manner, without risk to self or others by always observing Health & Safety and Food Safety rules.
- Ensure equipment and area are cleaned to company hygiene standards prior to production and that the team adopt a clean as you go policy throughout the shift.
- Ensure team members operate machinery in accordance with training and relevant skills.
- Take ownership of housekeeping under the clean as you go policy for your line and across all areas generally.
- Ensure the completion of all required paperwork and line checks.
- Communicate as required to the team and wider business in a clear and timely manner.
- Encourage team members to monitor product quality, highlighting issues and reject any unsuitable products.
- Promote all company policies and procedures relating to the area and line.
- Undertake any other related duties and responsibilities, including deputising for Line Optimiser in their absence, as may arise to enable optimal line performance and wider business operations.
