Key Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
- Design and implement robust automated test strategies for our products to ensure software quality and scalability.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize test architecture and frameworks to proactively identify issues prior to product launch.
- Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Identify, analyze, and document defects found during testing; collaborate with developers to resolve them efficiently.
- Report and communicate test results clearly, providing actionable feedback to cross-functional teams.
- Work closely with product owners to review and challenge requirements, ensuring features are testable and meet user needs.
- Contribute to the definition and execution of end-to-end functional and user acceptance testing strategies for all SportX projects, including new product features and platform enhancements.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and align with business and user requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes, tools, and standards.
- Track, prioritize, and manage defects in collaboration with the broader Sportsbook development team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on test automation.
- Experience in Agile environments, particularly with Scrum and/or SAFe methodologies.
- Comfortable working with issue tracking and project management tools such as Jira, and contributing to QA strategy and roadmap planning.
- Willingness and availability to take part in on-call rotations ("guards") when needed.
- Proficient in English (C1 level required); French is a plus.
- Proficient in automated testing using Selenium or Cypress.
- Experience working with BDD frameworks and writing test cases in Gherkin syntax (e.g., Given, When, Then).
- Familiarity with SpecFlow for .NET or similar BDD tools (e.g., Cucumber).
- Strong understanding of web and mobile testing in a full-stack environment including:
- JavaScript (Vue.js)
- Symfony/PHP and C#
- Redis, RabbitMQ, and MySQL/MariaDB
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control.
- Experience with API testing tools and practices is a plus.
- Domain knowledge or previous experience in the gaming or sports betting industry is a bonus.
- Analytical thinker with the ability to break down complex systems and pinpoint testable components.
- Eager to learn and stay updated with QA best practices, tools, and automation trends.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, both within QA and across development, product, and business teams.
- Proactive and detail-oriented mindset, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for quality.
