This is a hybrid role that requires some on-site work (inside our Indianapolis, Indiana office). In addition to the on-site duties, there are additional responsibilities that can be completed outside of the office, resulting in this being a hybrid role.

The Consumer Loan Originator (CLO) Team Lead assists the consumer team with providing personalized, consistent, and quality service.

                                             

You will learn how to be the expert to best serve our members:

  • Originate consumer loans.
  • Analyze each member’s financial position and align their needs with the best available products and/or services offered.
  • Maintain an environment where Member Service will flourish.
  • Close sales and achieve monthly sales goals.

You will make a difference as you live out our purpose: 

  • Mine credit reports for additional cross-sells sales opportunities.
  • Manage and maintain pipeline to ensure sales goals are met.
  • Actively promote and sell all Elements products and services while providing exceptional service.

 

You will help grow the business:

  • Proactively complete outbound sales calls from lead generation. 
  • Develop and leverage referral relationships. 
  • Maintain in depth knowledge of all Elements products and services.
  • Other duties as assigned.  

 

You will continue to grow professionally:

  • Continue to develop knowledge of industry practices, products, and professional growth.
  • Participate in appropriate learning opportunities to maintain expertise.


You will develop your people: 

  • Hire, train, and supervise all CLOs.
  • Conduct regular individual meetings with CLO team members.
  • Analyze current processes, look for improvements, and continuously develop ways for the CLO team to be more efficient and effective at their roles.
  • Listen to CLO sales calls to identify areas of improvement and coach the team on those findings
  • Monitor CLO Dashboard and product sales on a daily basis 
  • Encourage collaboration across departments with Funding, Underwriting and Branches
  • Contribute to the recognition of Elements as a premier financial institution of choice.


Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and 5 years sales experience, or a degree and 3 years sales experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales team leadership experience.
  • Ability to sell and evaluate the financial situation of each member to enhance their financial position.
  • Proven track record of consistent success in sales performance and closing.
  • Must be highly motivated and have a consistent record of exceeding quota.
  • Must be tech savvy, self-motivated, and a strategic thinker.
  • Strong computer and software skills are required, particularly loan origination software, Microsoft Word and Outlook.  
  • Organizational skills and the ability to coordinate resources and deliverables in order to maintain and achieve sales goals.
  • Financial institution sales experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrate a proficient use of technology tools and possess knowledge of basic system navigation skills. 
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Ability to leverage skills, knowledge, and experience to invest in our community. 
  • Ability to foster an inclusive environment that promotes belonging.
  • A focus on respect and excellent service to both external and internal (team) members.
  • A proven track record of integrity with a demonstrated ability to build trust.
  • Must be registered or meet registration requirements with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System Registry with an active NMLS License ID.


Additional sales incentive compensation is earned in this role.
