AGA is a membership-based organization that empowers clinicians and researchers to improve digestive health. The Marketing Coordinator has a dual role responsible for administrative and project support for the department as well as managing small-scope marketing projects.

 

Other job responsibilities include website and social media management and blog content creation. Familiarity with creative writing, email and social distribution systems, basic HTML, WordPress, etc. is required.

TITLE: Marketing Coordinator

REPORTS TO: Senior Director, Marketing

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Manage and update website content using WordPress. Manage and grow social media channels by managing content calendars, writing and publishing posts, producing campaign reports, and assisting on digital marketing initiatives. Support marketing initiatives, including:
  2. Project execution (manage ad placement, write copy for emails, articles, and blog posts, oversee small-scale campaigns, and develop graphics)
  3. Strategy development and evaluation,
  4. Vendor coordination, and
  5. Budgetary support.
  6. Create and implement methods for tracking and evaluating success and impact for assigned projects.
  7. Partner with creative teams, other internal stakeholders, and external agencies and vendors as needed.
  8. Learn our data structure to develop audience list segments for email.
  9. Create and monitor project timelines and ensure deadlines are met. 

 

Qualifications:

  1. Four-year college degree (or equivalent) plus 1-2 years of work experience.
  2. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Attention to detail and the ability to multi-task.
  3. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Teams, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), project management platforms (e.g., WorkZone), and website content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
  4. Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing and social media marketing.
  5. Working knowledge of HTML, Canva, and Microsoft’s Customer Insights email marketing platform are preferred but not required.
