Job Summary:

Responsible for managing and supporting a team of final mile delivery drivers and third-party contractors handling the delivery and installation of appliances and furniture. Oversees daily logistics operations, ensures compliance with safety and service standards, coordinates installation scheduling, and resolves delivery or customer service issues to ensure exceptional last-mile performance.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Driver Oversight: Supervise and coordinate daily activities of final mile drivers, including routing, dispatching, and performance management.

  • Delivery & Installation Coordination: Ensure accurate, timely delivery and installation of appliances and furniture, adhering to customer specifications and manufacturer guidelines.

  • Logistics Optimization: Monitor and improve delivery routes, vehicle utilization, and installation schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize delays.

  • Customer Service: Handle escalations and resolve delivery/installation issues quickly to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Contractor Management: Work closely with independent contractors or 3PL partners, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and compliance standards.

  • Training & Compliance: Provide onboarding and ongoing training to drivers/installers on handling large appliances, furniture, safety protocols, and customer service standards.

  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure all DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies are followed; maintain up-to-date vehicle and driver records.

  • KPI Monitoring: Track and report on key metrics like on-time delivery rates, NPS scores, damage claims, and installation success rates.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3–5 years in transportation/logistics management, preferably in final mile delivery

  • Knowledge of appliance/furniture delivery and basic installation requirements

  • Strong routing, dispatching, and driver performance management skills

  • Experience with TMS (Transportation Management Systems) and fleet tracking software

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

  • Valid driver's license and understanding of DOT regulations
