Job Summary
Coordinates customer information data, automated natural gas contracts/transactions and business system management for Sales Team, Operation Support, and Gas Operations. Ensures that the transaction process is efficient, operates with effective internal controls and provides services when needed to each respective department.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Responsible for generation of all contract documents for Sales Team and Business Region including but not limited to base agreements, index and fixed price transactions, name changes, assignments and minor contract amendments across multiple markets.
- Coordinates new and terminated account activity and communication between Sales Team and Gas Scheduling/Operations - verifying contracts are in place and systems up to date.
- Reconciles issues with contracts, operations support, and gas supply/scheduling. Acting as an overall database expert including areas such as metered usage, pricing, contracts, and invoicing.
- Participates in project teams involved in the report creation and development, testing and implementation of automated systems, reengineering of processes or implementation of new requirements.
- Serves as liaison to verify customer/contract process flow of new customers from startup to termination.
- Ensures financial hedges are executed profitably, working with applicable internal departments to ensure accurate system pricing inputs; efficient and accurate transaction execution through wholesale group; timely communication of transaction details to contract, trading, risk and accounting functions.
- Reviews and distributes account and contract data through reports to Sales Team for timely renewal of contracts.
- Applies knowledge of deal structure to appropriately create and maintain transactions in applicable systems
- Obtains or provides contract documents to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
- Participates in periodic data review to confirm system data integrity.
- Product Control Team supports departmental, business unit and corporate goals and objectives.
- Participates in cross-functional meetings to review opportunities/issues and implement improvements.
- Represents the organization, department or company on internal teams and/or to external entities.
Education/Certification/Experience
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or business from an accredited college or university OR a combination of education and experience providing equivalent or related knowledge, such as two years of college and two additional years of related experience or two years of professional level work in accounting, business and/or finance. (Experience in lieu of education is in addition to the Experience requirement.)
- Requires 2-3 years of Natural Gas Industry experience

- Able to demonstrate and apply comprehensive industry knowledge and skills, including: process automation options, legal aspects of contracting, contract types and suitability. Exposure to best practice contracting procedures.

Physical Requirements

- Able to operate office equipment, including telephone, mobile phone, photocopier, scanner and calculator.
- Able to reach, grasp and move items.
- Able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.
- Able to speak, read and understand the English language.
- Able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a minimal amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
Working Conditions
- Able to work in a fast-paced office environment with a high-volume workload and frequent short deadlines that may require more than a 40-hour workweek to meet established deadlines including working nights or weekends, as required.
- Able to work indoors, in an office environment, regardless of whether open office, cubicle or private office.
- Able to travel occasionally, possibly overnight, to attend meetings and/or energy industry conferences.
