General Description
Portfolio Management Department will have primary responsibility for coordinating closing due diligence, working with Legal, Funds Management, Asset Management, credit and underwriting departments and assisting in closing partnership sales or purchases, property sales, and mortgage pay-offs or refinancing of affordable housing developments.
Schedule
- 20 hours per week.
- Specific days and hours will vary.
Responsibilities will include:
- Prepare transaction closing sources and uses, closing timetables, distribution lists, and closing documentation list.
- Assist in the review of closing documents for accuracy of agreed upon terms.
- Respond to other departmental inquires by remaining knowledgeable on the status of current projects through preparation of work-in-process checklists and project summaries. Understanding the importance of each document and its relationship to the transaction is expected.
- Coordinate activities of other departments towards closing of project. Work with Disposition team as well as inside and outside counsel towards a closing.
- Maintain project due diligence files with required documentation.
- Responsible for coordinating due diligence requests with brokers, banks, purchasers and tax credit agencies.
- Prepare reports and analysis as needed.
Requirements
Qualifications/Experience:
- Knowledge of key aspects of real estate development and finance, land use and entitlement, property due diligence and acquisition, and site planning and design.
- Experience in analyzing and closing real estate and/or real estate financing transactions preferably in the low income housing tax credit (LIHTC) field or commensurate work related experience including public subsidies, other affordable housing programs considered a plus.
- Experience with the escrow process and understanding of title and survey issues preferred.
- Ability to initiate and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with team members, government agencies, consultants, lenders, investors, and developers.
- Strong analytical and problems solving skills; ability to identify and resolve issues.
- Good client and public presentation skills; excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills, highly attentive to detail and able to perform tasks with limited supervision in a time sensitive work environment.
- Exercise sound judgment and fairness in decision-making.
- Maintain the strictest confidence when handling confidential and non-routine information and matters.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions.

The pay rage for this position is $60.00 per hour. The actual compensation may vary depending on a wide range of factors, including experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, location, etc. This range does not include additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
