Direct and oversee all technology operations and platforms supporting SFG's wealth management business.
Responsibilities:• Direct, establish and oversee the strategy, infrastructure, architecture, delivery, and roadmap for all wealth management technology platforms and applications. Includes: –Collaborating with internal executives and teams on technology solutions focused on business challenges, efficiencies, productivity, customer engagement, business growth –Evaluating and selecting, and directing the development, design, delivery, integration, maintenance and sustainability of all technology supporting client-facing, partner and advisors, portfolio management, trading, CRM, and reporting systems for SFG wealth management –Directing technology integration across custodians, trading platforms, portfolio accounting systems, and financial planning tools –Maintaining knowledge of emerging trends, disruptors and megatrends, a –Cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, internal controls, Model Risk Audit Rule, Record Information Management, and similar risk and control requirements –Establishing and directing disaster recovery and business continuity protocols –Vendor selection, contract negotiation, and vendor management –Overseeing Technology budgets, capital expenditures, and resource planning –System upgrades, migrations, and implementations –Reporting to C-Level and Board on technology performance, risks, and initiatives
• Provide executive leadership to the wealth management technology organization. Includes: –Selecting, developing, and providing direct and/or indirect leadership –Establishing and communicating organizational and individual goals, standards, and expectations –Providing coaching, feedback, and career development opportunities –Fostering employee engagement and recognition, and a culture of collaboration –Overseeing performance management, evaluations, promotions, and other employee actions –Determining business priorities, organizational and team structures, staffing, and resource requirements –Identifying and removing obstacles, and facilitating decision-making
- Undergraduate degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education
- 15+ years’ progressively more complex experience in information technology, with a focus on digital strategy, integration and execution, including: –10+ years’ technology experience in a regulated financial services field, preferably in wealth management or asset management –5+ years in direct, indirect and matrixed leadership in a technology environment
- Experience leading and overseeing systems integrations, portfolio management platforms and CRM platforms (such as Salesforce and Redfin) representing AUM of 10B+ highly preferred
- Experience in building and scaling technology platforms across multiple companies, business lines, locations and jurisdictions
- Experience in RIA/independent financial advisor business preferred
- Ability to evaluate, select, and lead the implementation and management of financial technology platforms, including integrations, reporting, analytics, cybersecurity and compliance, including the ability to lead direct and cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage significant operating budget and the technology investment budget
- Excellent leadership, business acumen, decision-making skills
- Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to present to audiences from entry level through C-suite and Board of Directors, facilitate discussion with clients and financial professionals, represent Sammons at major conferences as a SME or keynote speaker, and collaborate with and generate trust with business partners and customers.

- Ability to translate complex concepts, data, risks and opportunities into actionable and measurable results and performance indicators, and lead projects and deliverables to completion

- Ability to build, lead, motivate, coach, and develop high-performing teams
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills (primarily PowerPoint and Excel)
- Up to 25% overnight travel anticipated

Range includes data points from multiple labor markets. Specific range is dependent on the labor market where the incumbent will be hired to perform the position. Starting salary is dependent on candidate qualifications and experience. For a narrower salary range specific to your labor market, please inquire.
