SUMMARY 

The VMS Account Manager is responsible for overseeing and integrating the management of client-specific needs within the Vendor Management System (VMS)/Managed Service Provider (MSP) Program with the operational aspects of payroll and billing activities. This role involves assisting branches in effectively managing client’s specific VMS/MSP requirements, working collaboratively across various departments to proactively eliminate any VMS discrepancies and billing errors that could impact business continuity and growth. 

 

Compensation ranges for $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 yearly.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Assisting branches as a primary point of contact for VMS needs such as onboarding, training, and navigation, ensuring smooth operations and compliance with VMS requirements.

• Coordinating with Accounts Receivable/Payable (AR/AP) to reduce/eliminate billing discrepancies and working closely with the payroll/billing team to ensure the timely and accurate processing of payroll and billing activities.

• Translating VMS contracts to ensure all impacted departments are well-informed of and operate in alignment with VMS requirements.

• Managing client profile setups and assisting in scaling VMS client business across multiple branch locations where possible.

• Overseeing the creation and management of VMS reports, including but not limited to payroll and billing, while ensuring the collection and accurate entry of weekly timesheets and pay information from various sources.

• Developing and maintaining VMS business acumen among all users and coordinating the activities of a team of Payroll/Billing Supervisors, Specialists, and/or Coordinators.

• Assigning tasks efficiently, mentoring team members, responding to complex inquiries, and collaborating with the Director to implement new processes and guide team development.

• Maintain expert knowledge of all relevant payroll/timekeeping systems.

• Respond to complex inquiries escalated by Payroll/Billing team.

• Create and enhance payroll/billing processes and tools. 

• Establish personal credibility with team by setting the example for aligning actions with company values.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES 

This position requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and a comprehensive understanding of both the VMS/MSP program and payroll/billing procedures to ensure a streamlined, compliant, and effective operational framework.

KNOWLEDGE and EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree or 4 + years of relevant experience.

• Demonstrated experience in systems functional specifications development and systems testing is required.

• Demonstrated experience in visioning, strategic planning, and project management skills. 

• Demonstrated experience analyzing and interpreting governmental regulations with easy to implement solutions. 

• Strong communication skills (verbal, written, interpersonal); presentation skills; ensure information is shared in a clear, concise, and collaborative manner. 


WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear for long periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally more than 50 pounds.
