Essential duties and Responsibilities:
Identifying opportunities to improve dock efficiency, reduce wait times, and optimize resource utilization.
Enforcing safety regulations, monitoring dock operations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Identifying and resolving any issues related to scheduling, loading, or unloading, and ensuring smooth operations.
Maintaining accurate records of shipments, inventory, and dock activity.
Coordinating loading and unloading activities, ensuring proper documentation, and overseeing the movement of goods.
Communicating with carriers, drivers, warehouse staff, and other stakeholders regarding schedules, updates, and any issues.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High School Degree or GED required.
Preferred 2 years of logistics or warehouse experience.
Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree in Logistics/Distribution is a plus.
Bilingual is a plus.
Extensive use of Microsoft Office applications (especially Outlook, Word, Excel).
Requires accurate, rapid and reliable data entry skills.
High-level multitasking and scheduling is required.
