$7,610 - $11,537/per month Non-PERS

Are you a Workday integration specialist ready to take on enterprise-level challenges? Join the Oregon Department of Administrative Services (DAS) and help lead the development of secure, scalable integrations with a focus that powers payroll, time tracking, and benefits for our Oregon state government users.

What You’ll Do

As our expert for Workday integrations related to payroll, benefits, and time tracking, you will:

  • Build and maintain inbound and outbound integrations between Workday and Oregon Government systems.

  • Develop and test advanced integrations using Workday Studio, XSLT, Java, JSON, XML, and REST/SOAP APIs.

  • Design, troubleshoot, and optimize integrations that support retirement contributions, budget and cost projections, and more.

  • Use tools like Postman, IntelliJ, Workday Extend, CLI, and custom applications to ensure seamless data flow and system functionality.

  • Work closely with partners to deliver secure, scalable, and sustainable solutions.

  • Review Workday’s bi-annual releases, leading impact assessments and implementation strategies across the enterprise.

What We Are Looking For

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Seven (7) years of information systems experience in integrating enterprise HCM, payroll, or related HR platforms with external systems. OR

  • An Associate's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, OR completion of a two (2) year accredited vocational training program in information technology or related field; AND five (5) years of information systems experience in integrating enterprise HCM, payroll, or related HR platforms with external systems.  OR

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND three (3) years of information systems experience in integrating enterprise HCM, payroll, or related HR platforms with external systems. OR

  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field AND one (1) year of information systems experience in integrating enterprise HCM, payroll, or related HR platforms with external systems.

Preference may be given to candidates with this experience in Workday HCM and/or Workday Payroll.

Desired Attributes:

  • Deep technical expertise in Workday integrations and secure data exchange

  • Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, XSLT, and MVEL

  • Hands-on experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, Core Connectors, and integration system security

  • A collaborative mindset and experience working with cross-functional technical and business teams

  • Ability to lead projects, collaborate across business/technical teams, and think system-wide

  • Integration security design experience

  • Expert in web services (WSDL, REST, SOAP)

  • Skilled in XSLT transformations and XML/JSON data structures

  • Familiar with data governance, audit controls, and scalable integration architecture

  • Familiarity with Workday Extend and developing internal Workday apps

  • The salary range listed is the non-PERS eligible rate. If you’re already a participating PERS member or once you become PERS eligible after 6 months of employment, the salary range will increase by 6.95% and the required 6% employee retirement contribution will be deducted from your pay.
