· AdventHealth Tampa, a faith-based not-for-profit 626-bed tertiary-level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializes in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience and neurology, digestive health, orthopedics, women’s services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot-assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus currently include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year.

The role you’ll contribute:
Responsible for operating human patient simulator systems, simulation task trainers, associated medical equipment, and computer/audiovisual equipment during training exercises. This position facilitates operational and technical aspects of post-exercise debriefings using audiovisual platforms. This role involves supporting the implementation of assessments for simulation-based curriculum and analyzing quantitative, qualitative, and scientific data. In addition, this position identifies and promotes best practices that enhance clinical outcomes, team performance, patient safety, and quality improvement efforts. Additionally, this role manages and maintains equipment, communicates with vendors regarding equipment, and manages inventory of equipment and supplies.
The value you’ll bring to the team:
· Ability to map clinical, educational, and operational processes, gather and analyze evidence-based data and effectively present information to various levels of audiences.
· Working knowledge of current human patient simulators and simulation/audiovisual platforms, including Laerdal, Gaumard, and CAE Healthcare.
· Strong organization and interpersonal skills.
· Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex concepts and ideas in understandable terms to all levels of internal staff (customers).
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
· Associate Required.
· Experience in simulation operation/education/training, preferably with human patient simulator platforms and audiovisual equipment/operating software.
· Experience in direct patient care within hospital or clinical setting.
· Experience in simulation operation/education/training.
· Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required
· Advanced Cardiac Life Support Cert (ACLS) Required
· Pediatric Advanced Life Support Cert (PALS) Required
· Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Required
· NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) (NBRC-RRT) Required
· Licensed Paramedic (PARA) Required
· National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT) Required
· Certified Healthcare Simulation Operations Specialists (CHSOS) Required
