About the Role:

The Administrative Assistant of Human Resources plays a crucial role in supporting the HR department by managing a variety of administrative tasks that ensure smooth and efficient HR operations. This position is responsible for maintaining employee records related to Family Medical Leave. The role requires close collaboration with HR managers and other departments to facilitate communication and compliance with attendance policies. Responsible for the preparation and distribution of performance evaluations. 

Essential duties/Responsibilities:

  • Process Leave Administration including Family Medical Leave Act, Short Term Disability and Americans with Disability Act, that will include but not limited to preparation of Leave documents, meetings and follow ups with employees on Leave, and update and manage FMLA files and log with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Process Leave Administration including Family Medical Leave Act, Short Term Disability and Americans with Disability Act, that will include but not limited to preparation of Leave documents, meetings and follow ups with employees on Leave, and update and manage FMLA files and log
  • Administration of Time and Attendance in ADP, including preparation and distribution of disciplinary actions and reports
  • Prepare and distribute documents for Performance Evaluations
  • Compile data to generate daily, weekly, monthly reports
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and benefits in a professional and timely manner
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role, preferably within a human resources environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HR information systems (HRIS)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • Bilingual preferred
