POSITION OVERVIEW FOR ELECTRICAL FOREMAN

The Electrical Foreman (seconded to an Oil and Gas client) is responsible for managing all electrical field operations assigned to support field operations for the Oil and Gas client project. This role oversees crew performance, subcontractor coordination, and adherence to the Oil and Gas client’s safety, schedule, and quality standards, while ensuring compliance with Agilitech’s operational protocols. The position bridges the estimating, planning, construction, and closeout phases to deliver results that meet the expectations of both Agilitech and the Oil and Gas client.


The Foreman position will be on the tools approximately 70% of the time, with the remaining 30% dedicated to operational oversight and related administrative tasks. Additionally, the Foreman must be carded or, at a minimum, actively in the process of receiving their card within a timely timeframe.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR ELECTRICAL FOREMAN

 

Pre-Construction / Planning:

  • Participate in project turnover and handoff meetings with Agilitech and Oil and Gas client projects to review project scope, safety requirements, and operational expectations.
  • Review bid documents and project specifications with a focus on Oil and Gas client project operational standards and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent and Oil and Gas client project representatives to develop labor plans, schedules, and work sequencing.
  • Assist with estimating and material takeoffs, ensuring alignment with the Oil and Gas client project and petroleum procurement protocols.

Mobilization:

  • Attend Oil and Gas client project pre-construction meetings and comply with client-specific orientation and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate the setup of jobsite facilities, utilities, and access in accordance with Oil and Gas client site rules.
  • Lead site safety orientation for Agilitech crews in alignment with Oil and Gas client safety programs.

Project Execution:

  • Supervise and schedule Agilitech electrical crews (up to 10 direct reports) and coordinate with Oil and Gas client-approved subcontractors.
  • Interpret and apply Oil and Gas client engineering drawings, specifications, and material standards.
  • Track labor and material usage and ensure adherence to both the Agilitech and Oil and Gas client project schedules.
  • Conduct daily safety tailgate meetings and ensure compliance with Oil and Gas client safety procedures and Agilitech policies.
  • Manage and submit daily reports, timesheets, RFIs, and inspections in the format required by the Oil and Gas client.
  • Coordinate change order impacts with the Superintendent and the Oil and Gas client project management.

Project Closeout:

  • Ensure completion of all punch list items to the  Oil and Gas client’s satisfaction.
  • Verify field conditions for as-built documentation in accordance with client requirements.
  • Submit O&M manuals, warranty documents, and other closeout deliverables to the  Oil and Gas client as required.

Additional Duties:

  • Perform all other project-related tasks as assigned by Agilitech and  Oil and Gas client leadership.

OCCUPATIONAL COMPETENCIES FOR ELECTRICAL FOREMAN

  • Technical: Proficient in managing electrical installation, interpreting drawings/specs, sequencing work, and leading field teams and subcontractors.
  • Safety & Compliance: Knowledge of OSHA
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills; able to communicate with field staff, clients, and management.
  • Leadership: Team-building, training, and supervision of field electricians and coordination of subcontractor trades.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve scheduling conflicts, field issues, and subcontractor delays promptly.
  • Planning & Execution: Experience in execution planning, labor tracking, and schedule adherence.

Requirements

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE FOR ELECTRICAL FOREMAN 

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 5–8 years’ experience as a Journeyman Electrician.
  • 2–4 years’ supervisory experience as a Foreman or General Foreman.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
