Description
The Senior-Level Advanced Tactical Training position provides expert-level tactical training support and assessment capabilities for naval surface warfare operations. This key personnel role supports advanced tactical training programs, war-fighting readiness evaluations, and capabilities assessments for surface navy combat systems and weapons platforms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Support advanced tactical training programs for surface warfare operations
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative assessment methods for war-fighting readiness, capabilities, and capacity evaluations
- Provide military Strike Group, Fleet, or Major Training Command planning expertise
- Operate and employ Aegis Weapon System in tactical watch stations
- Utilize Microsoft Office suite programs for analysis and reporting
- Support Systems Testing Command or similar military organization planning activities
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's Degree
Experience:
- A minimum of 12 years of military experience, and/or relevant industry and/or government experience with the surface navy's combat systems, C5I, networks, and weapons systems
- A minimum of 5 years of military Strike Group, Fleet, or Major Training Command, Systems Testing Command, or similar military organization planning experience
- Five (5) years of experience aboard Navy cruisers, destroyers, or within qualified Department of Defense warfare areas
Required Skills:
- Qualified and experienced in a watch station with the authority to employ the Aegis Weapon System (i.e. Tactical Action Officer (TAO), Air Warfare Coordinator (AAWC), Battle Watch Captain)
- Must possess a Tactical Action Officer Qualification letter or BMD Watch Officer qualification letter
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative assessment methods to support war-fighting readiness, capabilities, and capacity evaluations
- Experience using the Microsoft Office suite of programs (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Word)
Security Clearance: Must possess current Security Clearance of SECRET and be TS//SCI eligible
Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship required
Travel Requirements: Regular travel to support fleet operations both CONUS and OCONUS
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Standard office and tactical operations center environment physical requirements for military planning and assessment activities.
