Your Role
We’re looking for a big-picture thinker who can connect the dots between data, strategy, and people. As a Specialist Data Scientist in our Workforce Insights & Analytics team, you’ll play a key role in shaping strategic workforce decisions through advanced analytics, machine learning, and data storytelling.
This is more than a technical role—you’ll work closely with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to understand complex business challenges and co-create solutions that drive real impact. From predictive modelling and data mining to AI experimentation and organisational insight, your work will influence how we attract, retain, and empower our people.
You’ll need strong stakeholder management skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights that guide decision-making at the highest levels. You’ll also help uplift data capability across the enterprise and ensure ethical, responsible data use in everything you do.

This is a permanent opportunity to be based in Gadigal Country (Sydney).
About You
Proven experience (min 3 years) in data science, analytics, or a related field, ideally within HR, workforce, or organisational domains.
Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and cloud-based analytics platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure).
Strong understanding of:
Data Mining and Machine Learning
Predictive Modelling and Statistical Techniques
Data Visualisation and Storytelling
Use of data and information in the insurance context, especially within people analytics
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
A growth mindset and passion for continuous learning and innovation.
