Position and Responsibilities

 

The production engineer is a key part of the production team responsible for monitoring the process, and leading process and equipment upgrades for improved health, safety, environment and production within the UF6 production facility. 

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of assigned process areas
  • Process optimization and development
  • Providing technical expertise and support to operation
  • Providing leadership for process and equipment upgrades
  • Development and maintenance of process documentation (SOP’s, P&ID’s)
  • Managing and supporting projects, conducting investigations and implementing corrective action
  • Ensuring compliance with site and regulatory requirements, codes and standards
  • Conducting process safety assessments

 

Education and Qualifications

 

Requirements of the position:

  • Minimum of five years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field
  • P. Eng designationor P. Eng eligible
  • Self-starter with strong trouble shooting and analytical skills
  • Ability to adapt to a changing environment while building strong relationships with a wide variety of personnel
  • Proven rational decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Clear background check

Assets:

  • Chemical industry experience, knowledge and expertise
  • Process safety, risk identification and hazard control
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Knowledge of operational reliability practices
  • Knowledge of process control and process control instrumentation
