The Greater Richmond YMCA is currently seeking a highly motivated, organized, team-oriented professional to serve as the Risk Management Administration Specialist. This position plays a key role in handling administrative tasks for the Risk Management and Facilities departments for the YMCA of Greater Richmond Association.
Responsibilities:
The Risk Management Administration Specialist provides support to the Director of Risk Management and the Facilities department, handling administrative tasks and assisting with various risk-related and property activities. This role manages paperwork, maintains records, coordinates communication, and supports the implementation of risk management and property strategies.
- Supports Risk Management department with compilation of insurance underwriting information, claims administration and analysis to assist in loss reduction.
- Assist in issuance and maintenance of certificates of insurance, and insurance renewal.
- Processes incident claims. Reviews incident reports for near miss and works with Director of Risk Management for follow up actions.
- Supports Risk Management department with Corporate Office security and facility issues.
- Assists Risk Management and Facilities department with processing and maintaining contracts in M-files.
- Assists Risk Management with scheduled annual projects as well as special projects.
- Support Risk Management and Facilities department with correspondence with vendors and government entities, operational disbursements, and Capital accounting.
- Assists Risk Management and Facilities Department with drills and audits, as needed and as time allows.
- Maintains confidential and sensitive information and materials in a professional and private manner.
- Acts as a liaison with other departments.

Knowledge and Skills:
The ideal candidate will promote the value of trust throughout the organization, consistently keep commitments, and employ exceptional follow-through. This candidate must demonstrate personal integrity and earn the trust of fellow associates by communicating openly.
- AA in Business Administration or related experience preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Demonstrate strong judgement skills to provide effective support
- Is a collaborative self-starter who excels at multitasking and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
This position requires discretion, adaptability and discernment to establish priorities and solve problems when given a new task. Must be able to communicate effectively (written and verbal), demonstrate flexibility and adaptation to changing demands, and collaborate effectively with leadership.

Salary: Starting salary is 46,000 a year based on experience and qualifications.
