DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Customer Service Representative will be acting as the primary point of contact with patrons. This part-time, variable-hour position serves Anthems residents and guests by providing up-to-date community information, promoting programs, and overall, providing exceptional customer service. Additionally, the selected applicant will be answering calls in a professional manner and responding to resident inquiries. Customer Service staff also act as a source of information for other staff members while assisting with their training. Customer Service Staff must provide the highest levels of customer service and support to the residents and guests that come to the Community Center for programs and use of the facilities. In addition, staff will provide administrative support to managers, and perform other duties as needed. Adherence to the Anthem Way Values is essential to success.
Work hours:
· Monday - Wednesday- Friday: 4:45am – 12:00pm
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Provides the highest level of customer service in person and on the phone (answering incoming calls) to our residents, guests, and coworkers.
Performs basic reception duties while educating and enforcing policies and procedures.
Registers residents and takes payments for programs, services, or other items offered for sale, issues equipment to residents and guests.
Monitors lobby area while maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Must be accurate, responsible, and dependable for team support of resident services.
Responds to emergency situations as directed by supervisor and performs other duties as required.
May be required to work in the heat for short periods of time during the summer months.
Requirements
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Junior in HS (minimum); High school diploma/GED or some college/ related experience preferred.
- Experience: Previous customer service; cash handling experience a plus
- Skill Set Needed: Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communications skills; a strong work ethic and ability to be a team player. Accurate data entry and quality work results are important for success.
- Knowledge: Proficient use of computer applications (MS Office suite) and web applications.
- Hours: Schedule is flexible and variable within our 7-day work week; primarily working afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
- Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be physically and intellectually capable of operating a personal computer, printer, facsimile machine, phone, and various other routine business equipment items.
- Ability to see well enough to read faint or partially obscured writing or printing.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English so that various types of communication may be conducted with people of various levels of education and capabilities both in person and over the phone.
- Perform physical activities (possibly for extended periods of time) that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, with a full range of motions including walking, sitting, standing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, lifting, and carrying.
- Position requires the ability to exert minimal force of up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 60 pounds of force to move objects.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to work on more than one assignment at a time with frequent interruptions, changes, and delays.
- Must remain alert to working conditions and aware of safety, health, and environmental concerns.
- Must be able to work effectively with a positive attitude and demeanor in an environment which may be stressful due to adversarial situations resulting from the proper performance of duties.
- Position will alternate between working indoors in a controlled climate to an outdoors setting with variable climate.
