Overview:

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a morning shift Assistant Food and Beverage Manager to join our team at The Squire at Grand Canyon, a Holiday Inn Resort in Tusayan, Arizona. As Assistant Food and Beverage Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Food and Beverage Manager in the day-to-day running of restaurant operations. This role requires a dedicated leader who can inspire our team, elevate guest experiences, and uphold our high standards of service. This morning shift position will have oversight over the Canyon Room Breakfast outlet and the Watchtower Bar and Grill.

Unit Description:

The Squire at the Grand Canyon, a Holiday Inn Resort, is a premier destination for guests visiting the South Rim. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures
  • Maintain positive guest relations and high standards of service to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction
  • Support the Food and Beverage Manager in training, motivating, and developing team members to maintain high performance and professionalism
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as ordering and inventory, and oversee scheduling, payroll, and point of sale systems
  • Monitor and enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with regulations
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within the restaurant or hospitality industry, with a strong understanding of restaurant operations and guest service standards
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, health regulations, and safety procedures
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Proficient computer skills, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and point of sale systems
  • Ability to obtain ServSafe, Food Safety Handler, and Training for Intervention Procedures certifications
  • Capacity to work a flexible schedule to accommodate business levels
