Position Overview:
The Audiologist will provide hearing assessments, device fittings, and counseling for residents with hearing impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Screen and evaluate hearing loss.
- Fit and maintain hearing aids.
- Provide counseling and education to residents and staff.
- Conduct at least two in-service trainings per year.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Licensure: Active NYS Audiology License
- Experience: Clinical audiology (SNF setting preferred)
- Technical Skills:
- Hearing aid fitting/programming
- Diagnostic audiometry
- Soft Skills: Patient education, interdisciplinary collaboration
