SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER - FULL-TACK DEVEOPER

Job Summary                    

The Senior Software Engineer - Full-Stack Developer will be responsible for developing high-performance web applications and Laravel-driven websites. This position will be designing and executing B2C and B2B applications from small to enterprise scale.                                

Responsibilities

• Work remotely with product, development & IS teams to conceive, develop and deploy quality web applications
• Code design creations provided by UX/UI team into functional products
• Guide conversations around technical feasibility of UX/UI designs
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability
• Commit code using Git methodologies and best practices
• Research, track and understand new Web technologies; make recommendations for new policies and procedures to bring in-house 
• Provide guidance and assistance to other development team members
• Learn and abide by the operating policies and procedures of iostudio
• Represent iostudio in a professional manner with all client leadership, vendors and staff
• Complete and submit daily time reports

Qualifications

• Evidence of web design/development-related course work or portfolio
• Confidence in working with third-party APIs
• Ability to produce clear technical documentation
• Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
• Basic understanding CSS preprocessing languages such as SASS
• Proficiency with client-side scripting with Vue.js
• Working knowledge of Apache, NGINX, Linux Ubuntu
• Understanding of web accessibility
• Ability to work well in a team structure and independently
• A passion for quality design, development and a drive for innovation
• Knowledge of the principles of advertising and marketing
• Ability to take a concept from sketch or wireframe to final implementation
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Multitasking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to qualify for a government security clearance as required by government contract
• Be a citizen of the United States of America, as required by government contract                               

Education and Experience

• At least 5 years of software development experience
• Solid experience with Agile software development life cycles and methodologies
• 3+ years of experience building and maintaining Laravel applications from v5.8 to LTS
• Experience with advanced MySQL use cases
• Strong working knowledge of PHP and JavaScript
