Hybrid Advanced Practice RN, Psychiatric/Mental Health Practitioner na Caldwell University

• Conducting ongoing risk assessments (i.e., suicide, homicide, abuse, violence), as well as performing age-appropriate, full psychiatric evaluations.

• Planning  and documenting pharmacologic strategies based on individual needs and providing follow-up services as needed.

• Providing psychotherapy to patients.

• Providing clinical documentation on patients and producing reports and assessment information, as requested by the Executive Director of Counseling Services.

• Providing consultation to clinical staff and interns regarding patient care issues and attending staff meetings.

• Conducting educational training for Counseling Services staff and interns regarding clinical/medication issues, as needed.

• Communicate cases with the Executive Director of Counseling Services about cases.

• Consult with staff in person or by telephone about patients and emergencies during working and non-working hours at mutually convenient times.

Master’s Degree with preparation in psychiatric mental health nursing and a current New Jersey APN.C license that includes diagnostic and prescriptive authority.  At least three  years’ experience with patient diagnosis and psychotropic medication, prescription and management, working with older adolescents/young adults in a treatment setting, preferably a college counseling center or health center.  Appropriate training and experience in counseling and psychotherapy. Ability to utilize a scheduling software system for documentation purposes.
