We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager – Overhauls to join our Power Engineering & Operations team in Perth, Western Australia on a Permanent Full-Time basis.

Reporting to the Team Lead – Overhauls, this role provides senior-level technical support and oversight throughout all phases of overhaul projects, ensuring that execution meets operational requirements, safety standards, and APA’s engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of overhaul projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule and budge of agreed scope are met.
  • Provide senior technical oversight and input across all phases of overhaul scope development, planning, execution and closeout.
  • Ensure that overhaul work meets APA’s engineering standards and operational requirements.
  • Coordinate and supervise internal teams, contractors, and service providers to deliver project outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams to align on project needs and expectations.
  • Monitor project progress, address risks, and adapt plans as necessary to ensure successful execution.
  • Provide clear and timely reporting on project status, risks, and performance to senior stakeholders.

About You

  • Proven experience managing complex overhauls or shutdowns, particularly involving large rotating or mechanical equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering principles and project delivery within heavy industrial, energy, or power generation environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially under time and operational pressures.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage and manage cross-functional teams and external contractors, experience with large rotating equipment OEMs specifically advantageous.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and delivering results on time and on budget.
