Victoria University (VU) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Officer to join our Digital and Campus Services team. In this pivotal role, you will support the successful delivery of our Network Refresh and Application Rationalisation programs, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with governance frameworks.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Projects & Business Analysis, you will:

  • Coordinate and oversee project activities, including resource allocation, scheduling, and deliverable tracking.
  • Organise and manage governance board and steering committee logistics.
  • Support financial planning, expense tracking, and procurement processes.
  • Maintain project reporting tools to inform decision-making and track progress.
  • Facilitate effective communication across project teams, leadership, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with governance, policy, and OH&S requirements.

This role requires a balance of project management capability, administrative precision, and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders in a fast-paced, complex environment.


About You

You will bring:

  • Postgraduate qualifications (or progress towards) and extensive relevant experience, or equivalent.
  • Proven project management experience, ideally in large-scale network and/or application lifecycle projects.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a diverse team environment.
