Delaware North is the food and beverage, and retail partner at The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex since dating back to 1995. The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is the visitor center at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. It features exhibits and displays, historic spacecraft and memorabilia, shows, educational camps and programs, two IMAX theaters, and a range of bus tours.
Responsibilities:- Supervise exhibit technicians and manage daily work schedules and project planning
- Lead training and development for staff to stay current with technical equipment and best practices
- Creative and project management input into new and current exhibits, providing creative concepts to enhance current exhibits and phased plans to complete enhancements
- Works with the Project Development team on planning of capital projects, interfacing with the contactors, reporting project status, and acting as the liaison between DNPSS/NASA and outside contractors as needed
- Oversee maintenance schedules for AV and show control systems
- Monitor and report project status to senior leadership
- Manage labor and operational budgets for the exhibits department
- Conduct park inspections and troubleshoot technical issues
- Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or equivalent technical training and experience
- Valid Florida driver’s license and ability to obtain a government badge
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities management; mechanical and electronic systems experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, EAM work control systems, and UKG timekeeping
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to stand, crouch, and climb ladders to perform repairs
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions in all seasons
