GENERAL SUMMARY

The primary responsibilities of the Program Manager are to assist the Director of Immokalee Friendship House with all resident care activities, supervision of Case Managers and ensures proper implementation and execution for all aspects of shelter programming. The Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring that clients receive the highest quality services and that all programs are run efficiently and effectively. The Program Manager will work closely with the Shelter Director to maintain compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies. St. Matthew’s House is a faith based 501(c)(3) charitable organization that exists to transform lives in a spiritual environment that is both compassionate and disciplined.

  • Provides oversight for the daily operation of the Immokalee Friendship House Shelter Program, to ensure clients receive appropriate and effective services.
  • Provides oversight and supervision of all Case Managers and volunteers as directed by Shelter Director.
  • Ensures proper implementation and execution for all aspects of shelter programming.
  • Coordinates external, and facilitates internal, training opportunities to improve the skills and abilities of the IFH team as directed by the Shelter Director.
  • Develop and implement program policies and procedures in conjunction with St. Matthews House homeless shelter policies and procedures.
  • Ensure that program services meet or exceed all contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assists with program fee collection, waiver assignment and payment posting to resident accounts.
  • Assists the Shelter Director in hiring process by screening potential applicants and coordinating 1st interviews.
  • Works with staff and residents in conflict resolution, utilizing Biblical principles.
  • Provides tours as needed for guests.
  • Reports to Shelter Director daily the status of residents, staff and facilities.
  • Assist the Shelter Director with the approval of time sheets through Paylocity for Case Managers.
  • Conducts daily audits of the Mission Tracker system to ensure documentation standards are being met.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, including clients, staff and volunteers.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with partner agencies in the community to meet community and client needs.
  • Monitor program budget and make recommendations to ensure the most efficient use of resources.
  • Completes the weekly staffing schedule.
  • Develop and maintain program records in Mission Tracker, statistics, the occupancy report, and other reports as required.
  • Meets with Shelter Director weekly to review workload and personal needs.
  • Meets with direct reports monthly to review performance expectations.
  • Works with staff and residents in conflict resolution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Completes all job duties with St. Matthew’s House core values as the guiding principle.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma required or equivalent. Individuals with Certification in Addiction preferred.

Experience: 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role in a non-profit or social services setting Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams and volunteers. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of local resources and service providers for the homeless population Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Mental/Visual Demands: Flow of work requires normal mental and visual capabilities.

Physical Demand: Must be able to stand for a minimum of 4 hours at a time and lift at least 25 pounds. Must be able to bend or kneel to the ground.

Working Conditions: Normal office environment.
