SABCA Brussels is also the home to our "Unmanned Autonomous Systems" aka: the drones solutions unit!

Mission:  

 

Your main mission as Procurement Officer is to manage and optimize supply flows to ensure continuous availability of materials necessary for production or service delivery. You will work closely with production teams, suppliers, and logistics partners to ensure that procurement needs are met efficiently and effectively.   

 

Responsibilities:  

 

  • Supply Planning: Analyze demand forecasts and current stock levels to establish accurate supply plans;  
  • Order Management: Place orders with suppliers considering delivery times, required quantities, and budget constraints;  
  • Delivery Monitoring: Track shipments and deliveries to ensure materials arrive on time and meet specifications;  
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels and identify optimization opportunities to reduce costs while ensuring adequate availability;  
  • Supplier Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate contract terms, and regularly evaluate their performance;  
  • Problem Resolution: Identify and resolve procurement-related issues such as delivery delays, stockouts, or non-conformities;  
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare regular reports on procurement performance, analyze trends, and propose improvements.  
     

You are responsible for:

 

  • Ensuring compliance with the EN9100 quality standard and the ISO 14001 environmental standard;
  • Performing rigorous self-checks to guarantee the quality and conformity of the work;
  • Transferring your skills and knowledge to new team members to foster a culture of continuous learning and mutual support. 
     

Profile:

 

Education: You hold at least a bachelor’s degree in management engineering, industrial engineering, economics, or an equivalent program.    

 

Desired experience: You have prior experience in a similar position, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment.       

 

Soft Skills:

 

  • You have excellent planning and organizational skills;
  • You demonstrate strong negotiation skills and supplier relationship management;
  • You are able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
  • You have solid analytical skills to interpret data and trends. 
     

Technical skills: 

 

  • Languages: You have excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
  • IT skills: You are proficient with inventory management tools and supply chain planning software.
