Mid America Health is hiring a full-time Controller. This is an onsite position that works Monday through Friday in our Greenwood, IN office. The hours are 8am - 5pm with some flexibility.

Job Description: Controller
Principal Accountabilities:
Management/Supervision
- Supervise accounts payable to ensure items are paid in a timely manner
- Supervise payroll to ensure payments are processed in an accurate and timely manner
- Develop expertise in setup and processing of payroll for various pay structures using Paycom
- Assist in oversight of billing and accounts receivable
Treasury
- Manage credit card process for home office and field, ensuring appropriate coding, support for charges and entry to GL
- Process ACH and EFT payments as necessary
Reporting
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of financial statements in a timely manner
- Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts; report variances and recommend corrective actions.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support strategic decisions.
Compliance
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual review
- Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit of 401k plan
- Ensure Paycom compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Other
- Assist in management and reporting for company fleet of vehicles
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff.
Desired Qualifications: The controller candidate should have a bachelor's degree in accounting and 3+ years of progressively responsible experience. Preference will be given to candidates with the Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations. Proven experience as a Controller or senior-level accountant. Thorough knowledge of GAAP and financial regulations. Strong leadership skills and experience managing accounting teams. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience with Paycom payroll software and Xledger in a multi-entity environment is a plus.
