The Role
As Infrastructure Manager – Compute & Cloud Migration, you will lead the transformation of IAG’s on-premises compute infrastructure, driving automation, platform resilience, and cloud migration strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategic migration of compute workloads from on-premises environments to cloud platforms, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.
- Own and deliver the automation and simplification roadmap across infrastructure domains.
- Drive observability and proactive issue management to ensure platform resilience.
- Manage product lifecycle, including roadmap development, service reviews, and cost optimisation.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to align product capabilities with organisational goals.
- Provide leadership to a team of 6–10, fostering a high-performance, purpose-driven culture.
- Ensure compliance with SLAs, cyber remediation, and licensing efficiency.
- You bring a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and leadership capability, with a passion for delivering business value through technology.
This is a permanent role open to candidates based in Melbourne.
About You
You will have extensive experience in infrastructure management, including solid team leadership experience. You bring deep technical expertise in building and maintaining modern compute platforms including leading or contributed to major cloud migration initiatives, translating business needs into scalable cloud solutions. You have a proven track record in stakeholder engagement, commercial negotiation, and contract management, complemented by strong analytical, facilitation, and communication skills. Your background includes driving operational excellence and innovation, with experience in financial services and a working knowledge of design thinking. You are a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset, a collaborative leader who inspires and influences others, and someone who confidently navigates between technical detail and broader business strategy.
