JOB TITLE Community Resource Navigator

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Community Resource Room.
Develop and implement educational, vocational and job readiness programs to support and assist individuals with their goals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Plan, organize and direct all activities for the Community Resource Room.
- Recommend goals and objectives and assist in the implementation of policies and procedures.
- Understand and implement technology resources and initiatives.
- Monitor and assist users with operating laptops, guiding them through programs and uses
- Assist individuals in navigating career advancement services, remote learning opportunities, telehealth appointments, Social Services, and other benefits application access based on need
- Maintain a professional, positive learning environment.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with individuals utilizing services
- Maintain information in the required databases and submit statistical reports, records of daily activities, and track utilization of services.
- Coordinate and train volunteer support.
- Provide input for creating informational and promotional materials.
- Abide by all Mission and program policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Attend and participate in meetings and trainings as requested by supervisor.
- Maintain a professional and approachable attitude on the Mission campus.
- All other duties as requested by your supervisor.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s Degree in Human Services or Related field
- Minimum of three (3) years experience working with special populations in the area of recovery, homelessness and mental illness Required
- Familiar with a variety of Education and Information Technology fields of concepts, practices and procedures
- Experience with 1-1 interaction with students to identify learning goals
- Clean/valid NYS Driver’s License
- Enthusiastic support of our Mission Statement
Status/Hours: Part time, Monday- Friday – 9:30am-3:30pm – 30 hours per week
Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
