Hybrid Corporate Controller na Hidden Level

As we expand, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Corporate Controller with strong Costpoint (Deltek) ERP system expertise to lead our accounting operations. The ideal candidate will manage the day-to-day financial activities of the company, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with GAAP, and adherence to internal controls. This role is critical in supporting government contract compliance, cost accounting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning.

Location: This position is hybrid in our Syracuse office. 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, inventory, and fixed assets.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements and reports in accordance with US GAAP.
• Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Lead financial audits and serve as primary liaison with external auditors.
• Oversee indirect cost rate calculations and submissions in accordance with FAR and CAS regulations.
• Utilize and optimize Deltek Costpoint for financial reporting, project accounting, and compliance.
• Manage tax filings, including sales/use tax, property tax, and corporate income tax in coordination with external tax advisors.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Provide financial guidance and insights to executive leadership.
• Ensure DCAA compliance for all applicable contracts.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 3+ years in a controller or senior accounting role.
• Strong experience with Deltek Costpoint (version 7.x or higher).
• Solid understanding of GAAP, FAR, and CAS regulations.
• Experience with government contracting (DoD, federal agencies, etc.).
• Proven leadership, team management, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA certification.
• Prior experience working in a mid-sized or growing government contractor.
• Familiarity with DCAA audits and indirect rate structures.

Salary Range: The anticipated salary range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $130,000 to $170,000 annually.
