KNAPP Inc. is seeking multiple Project Manager II in Kennesaw, GA to manage multiple warehouse automation projects including retrofit, greenfield and brownfield projects.
Job Duties:
- Ensure all required communication between project stakeholders, Knapp resources, suppliers, etc. occurs in a time frame and to the level of detail necessary for a successful project (10%).
- Steer all project-related activities and ensure they occur in a time frame necessary for a successful project (10%).
- Produce, distribute, and file documentation as required to ensure contractual requirements are met and all possible risk to Knapp is mitigated (5%).
- Know and understand which issues need to be escalated, when, and to whom, to eliminate negative impact to a project (5%).
- Operate and negotiate independently within Knapp policies, procedures, and directives (10%).
- Develop and maintain good lines of communication with Knapp team members, stakeholders based at Knapp AG (parent company) or other Knapp subsidiaries, and the site manager and implementation team leads onsite (10%).
- Ensure all necessary information flows between Knapp AG, other Knapp subsidiaries, and the Customer (8%).
- Have overall responsibility for all commercial items (5%).
- Create, maintain, and track project schedules, using critical path methodology (5%).
- Maintain project budget forecast, in coordination with Project Controlling (5%).
- Manage the Customer contract (7%).
- Coordinate change order pricing and proposals (5%).
- Evaluate Requests for Quote (RFQs) and subcontracts for major buy-out/3rd party components and systems, in coordination with Procurement and Final Engineering (3%).
- Manage sub-contracts for 3rd party equipment and service providers (2%).
- Coordinate with resources for the project with managers of internal teams (installation, commissioning, product, etc.) (3%).
- Drive resolution of all project-related open issues (2%).
- Coordinate activities of project teams, which may or may not include a Site Manager, Installation Supervisors, and Commissioning Engineers (5%).
Requirements:
- Must have 2 years of experience as a Project Manager, Engineering Technician or similar in the warehouse automation industry including Doxis, Asta Powerproject and Vectorworks.
- Overtime required (avg. 10 hours/week).
- Frequent travel (50%) to U.S. client sites required as assigned by employer.
