Senior Administrative Assistant - Community Development

HIRING RANGE: $23.88-$26.87 per hour.

About the Position: 
The Senior Administrative Assistant is responsible for performing a range of tasks including data entry, report compilation, and coordination of meetings and activities. The position requires a high degree of customer service and the ability to work independently, attention to detail, and strong communication and organizational skills.

What You'll Do: 

  • Answer calls, assist visitors, and provide customer service including referral, tracking, and follow-up of customer issues; perform dispatching of service(s).
  • Assist the public and other City staff in interpreting and applying City policies, procedures, codes and ordinances.
  • Research, respond to and track complaints and requests for information on services, regulations, procedures, and systems.  
  • Process, verify and review materials, applications, records and reports for completeness and conformance with established regulations and procedures. 
  • Process department accounting data including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and purchasing cards.

What We're Looking For:

  • Two (2) years of administrative support and/or customer service experience.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.  
  • Some assignments in this classification require possession of, or ability to obtain, Notary Public Commission. 
  • Some assignments in this classification require specialty certifications related to the area of assignment.

Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
