Job Description
- Must be knowledgeable about industry standards, best practices, change management and have the creative ability for dynamic problem solving as this applies to the development and manufacturability of windows.
- Previous experience overseeing certification, re-certification, and addendum testing to support Product Design, Development and Validation Testing of new products or current product extensions and addendums/improvements for Windows; ensure product testing is achieved on-time; on budget; and meets the marketing and manufacturing objectives.
- Ability to program and oversee all current product certifications, as well as be the key support contact for the necessary product labeling efforts in production.
- Strong experience in Engineering Processes to support best in class deployment of engineered systems
- Demonstrated ability to successfully contribute to multiple large-scale projects under tight timelines across multiple manufacturing sites while supporting the existing day-to-day manufacturing operations
- Change Management - present Engineering Change Requests and drawing review activities, develop APQP Action Plans and generate and issue ECN's for approved ECR's.
- Address risk management and mitigation -- Identify key project risks, categorize, assess corrective actions, lead the implementation of action plans.
- Ability to identify and implement cost savings opportunities
- Naturally inclusive and collaborative across a full range of internal stakeholders/levels; track record of breaking down silos; demonstrated ability to manage and lead by influence
- Excellent communication skills, including written, verbal and presentation skills; comfortable and credible with both internal stakeholders and external audience
- Work within the AM framework with the utmost attention to safety standards and AM objectives; Other duties may apply
Qualifications
- 3 plus years of industry experience working with fenestration products.
- Process engineering knowledge in extrusion, light assembly, metal and plastic fabrication and coatings preferred
- Project Management experience recommended.
- Communicates effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Self-starter acts with minimal direction.
- Strong organizational skills.
- AutoCAD experience preferred, Solidworks 3D Modeling experience a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel.
