Farmington Continuing Education is seeking an Evening Youth Room Monitor. Part-time/Seasonal
General Description: Farmington Continuing Education has a part-time, evening position available starting September 10, 2025. This position will care for children ages 4 years and older that are toilet trained while their parents / guardians are attending adult evening GED, ESL, ABE or citizenship preparation classes. Other duties (clerical, support) may be assigned as needed. The position will report to the program facilitator who is there each evening. High school diploma or current high school junior or senior in good standing.
Candidate must be energetic, have good communication skills, and work well with children.
Consideration will be given to the following:
previous experience working with children
references that indicate the candidate possesses the skills for this position
ability to communicate effectively and make sound judgments
Salary: $17.00 per hour
Work Schedule: Seasonal (part-time): 28 weeks/year, 2 evenings per week 5:45pm - 8:30pm
(Fall: September – middle of December); (Winter/Spring: January – May) Location: Mondays and Wednesdays at Farmington High School
Reports to: Farmington Continuing Education Program Facilitator
