The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Agent, Team Lead (Level 3 or 4) to join the BAC5114 Center of Excellence Supply Chain team in Hazelwood, Missouri.
The Procurement Agent, Team Lead must possess strong business acumen, communication and problem-solving skills. This position will be responsible for sourcing strategies, subcontract negotiation, the documentation of contracts and agreements, and the preparation and execution of proprietary information agreements. It will also require the communication of performance expectations and use of metrics to evaluate, monitor, and improve internal support of production and development programs. Proactive engagement with various disciplines and program stakeholders is required.
Position Responsibilities:
Mid-Level (Level 3)
- Integrates program, customer, product and in-service strategies into source selection, negotiation and contracting strategies
- Negotiates pricing and contract terms and conditions
- Prepares and executes negotiated contractual documents and binding agreements
- Conducts risk, issues and opportunities management
- Manages supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance
- Initiates and executes supplier improvement activities and integrates results into contracting strategies
Senior (Level 4)
- Provides oversight and management of supply and demand, schedules, supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
- Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms and conditions.
- Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements.
- Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions.
- Consults with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues.
- Leads supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities.
- Participates in supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- More than 3 years of Experience in Procurement and Supply Chain processes
- More than 3 years of experience with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
- More than 3 years of experience interacting with customers or suppliers regarding contract requirements and/or proposals
- Experience working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Experience implementing process and/or strategy improvements and an applied understanding of Lean practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 3+ years in complex contracting experience
- More than 5 years of experience and/or training with the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA)
- More than 5 years of experience in Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer
- More than 5 years of experience working on U.S. Department of Defense contracts

Summary pay range:
Mid-Level (Level 3): $74,800 - $92,400
Senior (Level 4): $95,200 – $117,600
