About the Department
The City of Eugene’s Community & Cultural Affairs Team is looking for a production coordinator to use their project management, innovative outreach skills, operations know-how and creativity to support the stewardship and business operation of the Farmers Market Pavilion. If you love connecting with the community, supporting activations of all kinds, systems thinking in administration and marketing, and all things venue operations – this position is for you.
The FMP PC will assist in all general aspects of work at the Farmers Market Pavilion and will be collaborating with the Community and Cultural Affairs Team as well as the LRCS Marketing Team, under the supervision of the Farmers Market Pavilion Steward. This position provides support in operations, administration, sales, and marketing for the venue. This position will work to expand the venue’s visibility, enhance its public image and increase rental sales and attendance at Pavilion events.

Salary Range: $15.75 - $27.69
The City of Eugene determines starting pay within the range based on relevant education and experience as provided by the applicant in their application materials. This process is consistent with the Oregon Equal Pay Act (OEPA).

Schedule: 20 hours per week, Monday - Thursday, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., with flex scheduling for event shifts and other business needs.

Position Duties
Stewardship:
- Understanding the philosophy and facility use policy for the FMP, in order to assist in the stewardship of a year-round event space
- Leveraging our strengths to generate rental clients through sales and booking
- Collaborating with the LRCS marketing team
- Calendaring and running applications
- Collaborating with marketing to create and share content that is inspiring and meaningful
- Outreach: networking and sharing out. Brand ambassador – shifting the awareness of the building, building relationships in the community on behalf of FMP
- FMP Communication Triage (email and phone)
- Client relations and on-site tours. Dedication to customer experience through informed, friendly, prompt and respectful service
- Coordinating services and connecting with cross-departmental teams to ensure that FMP’s operational needs are met
- Reviewing and implementing feedback from the community and clients
- Communicating with anchor tenants on a regular basis
- Tracking, filing, and organizing information in Microsoft Suite.
- On-site special projects that may include building, lifting, or cleaning
- Tracking equipment inventory
- Build familiarity with operational systems: sound system, lighting system, fans, electrical, alarm, water
- Perform site attendant duties during events at the venue

Experience and Education:
Six months work or volunteer experience that involves customer service or event support, or any equivalent combination of education and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job.
Background
Must pass a background check.
Valid Oregon driver’s license(or, the ability to obtain by date of hire); must pass driving records check and, if hired, maintain a driving record that meets the City’s standard. Oregon law requires that an out-of-state license holder must obtain a valid Oregon license (with appropriate endorsements) within 30 days of becoming domiciled in the state (ORS 803.355).

Working Conditions
Work will be performed outdoors most of the time. May be required to sit and stand for extended periods. May be required to lift or move equipment, supplies and/or assists patrons. May be required to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally, frequently up to 20 pounds. May deal with distraught or difficult people.
