SUMMARY
The Gluer/Moll Operator is responsible for the efficient setup, operation, and maintenance of the Gluer/Moll machine to complete a variety of folding and gluing jobs. This role ensures all projects meet established production speeds, quality standards, and quantity requirements, while maintaining a clean and organized work area and communicating effectively with team members and supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and have mechanical knowledge of the Gluer/Moll.
- Run and complete different levels of jobs difficulty on the Gluer/Moll.
- Expected to run the Gluer/Moll achieving 100% of established speeds with no quality failures.
- The operator will be expected to complete jobs with 100% accurate quantities when packing and sending jobs from the Gluer/Moll.
- Multitask between jobs as needed to ensure that all material needed is taken care of and ready to be sent to the next destination.
- Operators will need to read and understand the job tickets to avoid any errors and proceed with the job after making sure that everything is ready to begin.
- Operators will need to communicate with any team members (helpers) about the job details to ensure that the job is being done correctly.
- Must reach out to the Manager/Supervisor on duty with any questions they might have about the job before starting.
- Must correctly tag every skid/job to ensure it is sent to the correct destination.
- Capture all costs associated with a job utilizing data collection system.
- Keep an organized work area while working and when shift is finished.
- Operator will need to do preventative maintenance on equipment according to schedule.
- Compare against blueprints or previous printed sample (if reprint)
Requirements
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Perform basic math calculations
- Ability to read and understand written and verbal instructions and Job Tickets
- Knowledge of mechanical set up of Gluer/Moll.
- Stand and walk 95% of the time as well as bending and lifting
- Ability to direct fellow crew members in the overall operation involved in the job. Good communication skills (Bi-lingual a plus)
- Good analytical skills
- Good Computer skills
