We are currently looking for a Golf Course Operator to join the Quail West team!

Summary: Will lead, direct organize and implement all functions associated with the care and maintenance of all equipment and work area associated with the Golf Course and Grounds Maintenance Departments. Will be responsible for the care and ongoing maintenance of the Maintenance facility and all related equipment and repair assets.
- Position: Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Compensation: Salary based $142,000 with 10% bonus

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Requires a valid Florida Drivers License.
- Will direct life/safety procedures if and when necessary.
- Requires management, leadership and people skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be well organized and handle multiple situations simultaneously.
- Will work within budget guidelines.
- Must possess the ability to recommend solutions for increased efficiency precipitating cost savings solutions.
- Develop formalized procedures of educational requirements to support employee development.
- Must possess the ability to learn and efficiently utilize Microsoft Word, Excel and outlook as it applies to departmental needs.
- Requires working knowledge of spreadsheets, income statements, and budgeting programs.
- Must have pleasant and outgoing personality, and be able to intelligently communicate with members, residents and staff.
- Must be able to gain cooperation and respect of staff members and peers.
- Must remain current with industry trends as it applies to industry specific equipment.
- Exhibit the self-discipline of leadership.
- Must be well groomed and maintain a neat, clean and well kept physical appearance.

Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates should have more than 10 years of experience as a head golf course mechanic with multi-course experience preferred.
- Requires a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must have a background in golf course and maintenance equipment repairs.
- Requires experience in large scale or multi course equipment maintenance operation.
- Computer experience including data entry and spread sheets very helpful.
- Previous supervision and leadership experience.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- The nature of the position requires the individual to spend long periods of time on their feet, walking, standing and stooping.
- Requires lifting and carrying up to 60 pounds.
