Hospitality Security Officer – Premier Downtown Denver Hotel
$20/hour | 2:00 PM–10:00 PM | Days Vary – Coverage Needed All Week

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Hospitality Security Officer to join our team at a high-profile hotel property in downtown Denver. In this highly visible role, you will patrol the property, address potential security concerns, and provide assistance with the highest level of courtesy and professionalism. This position requires a valid Denver Merchant Guard Card.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct proactive patrols to deter and detect suspicious activity or safety hazards.
  • Monitor and secure entrances, exits, and restricted areas.
  • Respond promptly to emergencies, including fire, medical, or evacuation situations, following hotel protocols.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate reports of incidents, daily activities, and guest interactions.
  • Assist with locating and logging found property and returning items to rightful owners.
  • Coordinate with hotel management, front desk, and other departments to maintain a secure and welcoming environment.
  • Enforce property rules while maintaining a guest-friendly demeanor.
  • Support evacuation, shelter-in-place, or other emergency response actions as directed.
  • Perform additional site-specific duties and assignments as needed.


  • Minimum Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid Denver Merchant Guard Card (required).
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor.
  • Must own a dark-colored suit (uniform standard).
  • Smartphone required for scheduling and timekeeping.
  • Reliable transportation to/from downtown Denver.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Flexible availability for varied days, including weekends and holidays.
  • CPR, first aid, or crowd control training preferred but not required.


  • Preferred Experience
  • Security, hospitality, or law enforcement background.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and guest service best practices.
  • Familiarity with emergency response procedures.
