*** Applicants seeking short-term or part-time work with the University of Hawai'i may apply for Casual Hire positions, which include administrative, professional, and technical (APT) or instructional-type positions. Other Conditions: Casual Hire temporary appointment is expected begin September 2025 or soon thereafter. Not to exceed 89 days.
Duties:
- Provide instruction in didactic areas of pharmacy calculations, community pharmacy skills, top 350 drugs, and interprofessional education.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Pharmacy licensure in the State of Hawaii at the time of hire
- Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university
- Pharmacy practice experience of 1-3 years with experience teaching pharmacy students
- Willingness to collaborate with other faculty on team taught courses
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience in professional clinical training related to pharmacy education
- Five (5) years pharmacy practice experience
- Prior teaching experience in a PharmD program or graduate/professional education and in precepting PharmD students.
- Successful completion of a PGY1 or PGY2 residency program or post-doctoral fellowship
- Experience with curricular development, assessment and evaluation in a PharmD program.
- Knowledge of the accreditation standards of the Accreditation Council for Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE)
