Your new responsibilities
We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Ceramic Process Engineer to join our advanced manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing ceramic manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, consistency, and high-quality output. You will work cross-functionally to troubleshoot issues, implement process improvements, and support new product introductions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimize and maintain ceramic manufacturing processes, including batching, shaping, firing, inspection, and packaging.
- Design and conduct experiments, collect and analyze data, and apply statistical tools to evaluate process performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Led continuous improvement initiatives focused on yield enhancement, waste reduction, and cycle time optimization.
- Collaborate with NPI (New Product Introduction) teams to scale new products from prototype to production.
- Evaluate and qualify raw materials, equipment, and technologies in partnership with suppliers.
- Stay current with industry trends and recommend innovative process enhancements.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in process-related activities.
What we look for
Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Materials Science, Ceramic Engineering, Industrial Process Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a high-tech or advanced manufacturing environment.
- Deep understanding of ceramic materials and their processing challenges.
- Proficiency in process engineering methodologies, including Six Sigma tools and methods, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Dsign of Experiments (DOE), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Hands-on experience with process equipment, instrumentation, and measurement techniques used in ceramic processing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex process issues.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
- Effective communication skills.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
