We are looking to fill one part-time position to be part of this team.
Position will work one 12-hour shift (10am – 10pm). A set day of the week has not yet been determined and may vary.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Treat all individuals with dignity and respect while maintaining agency standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and objectivity.
- Provide crisis support to engage in successful participation in becoming stable and seeking appropriate program engagement in moving through a mental health or substance use crisis.
- Assist individuals in connecting to programs that promote rehabilitation skills in areas including but not limited to symptom management, medication management, personal hygiene and health, housekeeping and laundry, budgeting and money management, meal planning and preparation, transportation, and applications for entitlements or other services.
- Facilitate the effective use of services that are offered in the area to maintain stability.
- Assess issues of concern with immediate need and the reason for contacting 911.
- Advocate for patient right and facilitate effective use or services through individual choice.
- Ensure that all necessary medical, psychiatric, therapy, and other service-related appointments are passed on to the team providing services to the patient.
- Engage in communicate between partners of the Community Crisis Response team in a professional and growth minded manner/
- Maintain appropriate documentation consistent with agency policies and procedures.
SECONDARY DUTIES:
- Assisting clinical and administrative staff as needed.
- Reinforcing and monitoring patients’ behavioral expectations in alignment with treatment planning.
- Enforce all residential policies and regulations and report violations to the clinical staff.
- Supporting with orientation for new admissions, when requested.
- Helping assign and supervise residential activities.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of the Electronic Health Record, CARF policies, Feedback Informed Treatment, Nurtured Heart Approach, licensure standards and other parts of Prairie Ridge processes as needed.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED FOR POSITION
- Associate of arts degree in human services preferred. Or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Two years relevant experience in a related field.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is often required to stand, reach with hands and arms, and climb or balance.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- The employee must possess a valid driver’s license, liability insurance policy, and a reliable means of transportation.
