Position: Co-op Student (Medical Physics)

Status: Temporary Full-time (4 months)      

Placement: Trillium Health Partners (CVH Site)

Carlo Fidani Regional Cancer Centre – Medical Physics Dept

Description:         

Co-op Student will work in the Medical Physics Department at the Carlo Fidani Regional Cancer Centre.  The student will be exposed to the Medical Physics profession and other cancer programs as required. Under the supervision of a Medical Physicist, the student will carry out a project as per the requirements of the studentship program.  The successful candidate should be enthusiastic, highly motivated with exceptional interpersonal skills and is able to work independently as well as collaborating with others. Other tasks will include assisting Physicists in the development of radiation quality tools.

• Good academic standing
• A demonstrated interest in the field of Medical Physics
• Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work collaboratively as a member of a part of the Medical Physics team - Solid and demonstrated communication skills (verbal & written)
• Exceptional organization skills 
• Good analytical and problem solving skills
• Proven ability to work independently, as well as to perform effectively in a team orientated environment
• Proficient with MS Office environment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Satisfactory attendance and performance required
