Position Summary
The Practice Administrator assures the successful operations of multiple regional sites by working to engage, develop, empower and inspire site leadership team and practice staff. The Administrator will have accountability for the overall performance of all sites assigned; and evaluating, enhancing, developing and implementing strategic initiatives to further the operations and fulfillment of the mission of the organization. He/She will assist the COO with all aspects of practice site operations to include new services and engagement within the community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Oversight of Day-to Day Operations: responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective operations of assigned practice in accordance with federal requirements, grant requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Provides oversight to front desk manager and clinical support manager while ensuring that clinical quality and patient satisfaction are optimized.
- Executes operational strategies as developed in coordination with the Chief Operating Officer, Director of Nursing, and Chief Medical Officer.
- Provides leadership to problem solving within the clinic.
- Accountable for assuring scheduling systems/processes meet quality and productivity objectives.
- Ensure excellence in customer service and patient satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance of regulatory requirements (i.e. grants, Uniform Data System, Federal Tort Claims Act, etc.).
- Assures the appropriate implementation of contracts, grants, and programs related to the clinic.
- Implement all polices, protocols and procedures for the regional sites of the organization in collaboration with the Director of Nursing, the Chief Medical Officer, the Chief Operating Officer.
- Collaborate with the Director of Quality and Risk Management in achieving NCQA Patient Centered Medical Home recognition.
- Maintain, participate in and resolve corporate compliance issues as required.
- Supports emergency preparedness activities.
- Maintains business partnerships and ensures that the agreements align with the strategic direction of the organization.
Fiscal Management: Accountable for the sound fiscal management of assigned practice sites consistent with organizational goals and objectives to include but not limited to:
- Revenue optimization
- Productivity optimization
Leadership: Lead and support organizational Initiatives including but not limited to
- Quality Improvement and Risk Management
- Community engagement
- Inter-Organizational Collaboration
- Site Leadership Team Collaboration
- Operations Team Collaboration
Special Projects: Ensure continued system/process improvements by coordinating and overseeing special projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Front Desk Staff and Practice Managers
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in business, healthcare or related field.
- Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in a health care administrative role or a combination of all above.
- Three years of people management experience.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Performance Management Systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration
- Two years of clinical hands on experience.
