Position Overview

The Occupational Health Practitioner is an integral part of CNS OccMed in Pennsylvania locations and on-site with the mobile nurse and administration team. This individual provides the Medical Examination process for DOT examinations, OSHA examinations, and Workers Compensation assessment. 


Primary Responsibilities and Duties

This position will have the following primary responsibilities:

· Provide DOT physical examinations per FMCSA guidelines and expectations 

· PAT (physical abilities testing) exams

· Workers Compensation claim assessment, treatment, and follow-up 


Secondary/Back-Up Support 

This position will have the following support role responsibilities:

· DOT drug and alcohol testing 

· Referral follow-up 

· Administration and follow-up

Requirements

  

Skills/Competencies/Requirements/Certifications

To be successful in this position, the provider will possess the following skills and competencies:

· Highly organized

· Relationship building skills – vendors, team, management, patients

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

· High level of integrity and confidentiality

· FMCSA Certified Medical Examiner*

· Knowledge of regulation and standards of credentialing groups (Medicare, Medicaid, Workers Compensation Boards) 

· Unrestricted credentialing clearance 

· Licensed to practice in-state of hire (CRNP, PA-C, DO or MD; DEA clearance) 

· Experience reading X-rays (initial wet-read) 

· Suturing competency
