The City of Delta is seeking dynamic, creative, and energetic individuals to lead a variety of baking and cooking programs at our community recreation facilities. The instructor will teach basic food safety, healthy eating habits, cooking and baking skills to children and youth. Cooking instructors are responsible for the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities and recipes for children and youth aged 2 to 18 years. This role requires individuals who are enthusiastic, high-energy, and passionate about working with children and youth in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment.
Qualifications and Assets:
- Previous experience working with children and/or youth in a recreation setting is preferred
- Previous experience working with children and/or youth in a kitchen setting is preferre
- Culinary education or kitchen experience is desire
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skill
- Ability to work independently and as part of a tea
- Valid First Aid, CPR, and Food Safe certifications are required
City of Delta provides a competitive salary of $25.93 per hour + 12% in lieu of benefits. Interested applicants are requested to apply online by August 17, 2025.
