AFS is seeking a Network Engineer to be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of our organization's WAN and LAN hardware. This includes managing firewalls, cryptographic devices, routers, and switches to ensure secure and efficient network operations. The role requires a deep understanding of networking technologies, including BGP, to optimize network performance and reliability.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks
- Install, configure, and support network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, and cryptographic devices
- Manage and maintain WAN and LAN connectivity, network segments, and Internet access.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed
- Ensure network security and connectivity through proper configuration of VPNs, firewalls, and related security protocols
- Configure routing protocols, including BGP, to optimize network traffic flow and redundancy
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure the smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes
- Work with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Provide technical support and guidance to users with varying levels of IT knowledge
Here's what you need:
- 1 year of hands-on experience in networking (ie: Network infrastructure and network hardware, Network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools, Network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS, Arista EOS))
- Implementing, administering, and troubleshooting network infrastructure devices
- Application transport and network infrastructure protocols
- Possess a DoD 8570/8140 Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Bonus Points if you have:
- Professional certification (e.g., CCNA, CCNP)
- IPSEC tunnel creation and management
- Experience in cloud networking; Azure preferred
- Experience applying STIG and/or best practice security concepts to network devices
- Experience with using Ansible or other automated tools to deploy and manage network devices
- Strong analytic and communication skills
Security Clearance:
- Must have an active TS/SCI level clearance
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
